Barely Legal – I mean, Barely 100 Pages

gt06012019

Amazing how Mimi looks no older than her players now, innit?

It struck me a little odd yesterday that Mimi addressed her question to the team as a whole before singling out Molly and Nancy for the reading assignment.  Also odd that she mentioned Orwell during practice on Thursday but then the assignment comes after a game.  If this isn’t a continuity error on Rubin’s part, then shouldn’t we have seen time elapse between the practice and the game – time enough for the girls to wonder whether George Orwell was TCFS? (“He’s that freshman who made a big splash in Debate Club, right?”)

Hang in there, TWIM faithful. This has been a disappointing ride but it should be coming to an end soon. Tune in on Monday when Molly and Nancy ask each other, “So which one of us is the pig?”

  1. So just these 2 have to read the book? Hey gang – its June 1st. That means – the seniors have graduated, and really no high school has classes this late. They can read the book while theyre at the beach or the pool, the latter of which I partook today. And Linda’s selfish cocky attitude reminds me of Greg Brady when he wanted to be a big-league star– no minor leagues for him. https://bradybunchreviewed.wordpress.com/2017/02/10/episode-1-the-dropout/

She wants to be an Olympian, not just a boring mid-major player like the vast majority of players wind up as. Olympians are 1 in a million. You bank on those odds you’ll live your life in a funk for sure. Another in a pile of Milford prima donna’s we’ve seen over the years. I would throw the book at em, but the drums would be too loud.

  3. Great conclusion on your post, Teenchy. It’s about the truth. Neither one of them deserve to be Snowball, but I’m only speaking for me.

Yeah, as Robmize mentioned, there is that Greg Brady Was A Teenage Don Drysdale feel to it. And speaking of TBB, we now have Cindy Brady passing out Gideon Bibles in P1. Read the whole thing through and there’ll be a quiz over who threw the first stone at the Woman Caught in the Act of Adultery.
Finally, if Mimi a/k/a Cindy Brady a/k/a Benjamin Buttons shows up on Monday at practice in a baby stroller, I think the TWIMers should stage another Bastille Day. Gil would be my first choice at the guillotine, even before Sidney Carton.
